Arsenal are considering a swap deal involving Victor Osimhen and two of their own players, Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri, as they look for a new striker after missing out on Vinicius Junior and Julian Alvarez. The Turkish club has initiated discussions over Arsenal duo Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri, but Osimhen has also been raised as a potential target. The Gunners have been on the lookout for a world-class forward in the summer transfer window, having missed out on Vinicius Junior and finding Julian Alvarez too expensive. Osimhen, a 27-year-old Nigeria international, has been one of Europe's most prolific goalscorers in recent years and has consistently been linked with a move to the Premier League. He joined Galatasaray permanently from Napoli last summer for €75m (£64m) after a successful loan spell, and has scored 59 goals and provided 16 assists in 74 appearances. Martinelli, who has been made available for a transfer alongside Gabriel Jesus, is poised to leave Arsenal after seven years, 62 goals, and 278 appearances at the club. The defender has entered the final year of his contract and is eager to secure a move. During these talks, it is reported that a move for Osimhen to Arsenal was proposed. Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta has been in discussions with Galatasaray over the possibility of the swap deal, which could see Martinelli and Nwaneri move to the Turkish club in exchange for Osimhen. The club has been actively trying to improve the squad and bring more quality and depth, but the market is not always in their favor. “For the margins to improve, there are very few players in the market that are available to do that and bring more quality to the club,” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said. “We’re actively looking to improve that and we’re going to try.”
