Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is '100 per cent' confident that teenage midfielder Myles Lewis-Skelly will stay at the club this summer. The 19-year-old has been linked with moves to Chelsea and Manchester United, but Arteta is adamant that he will remain at the Emirates Stadium. 'The players that have been raised in our academy and they feel that love and connection with the club, it brings something else,' Arteta said. 'We need to look after them in a very special way because they bring value that is very difficult to find.' Arteta's comments come as Arsenal prepare to face Coventry in their Premier League opener on Friday night. The Gunners are currently 6 points clear at the top of the table, having scored 62 goals and conceded 24 so far this season. League standing (final 2025 table -- new season not yet under way): 1st in Premier League, 70 pts, 21W-7D-4L from 32 games, recent form LWWWW. Goals this season: 62 scored, 24 conceded (+38 goal difference). Next fixture: vs Fulham (at home, 2027-02-20) (12th in the table). Currently sidelined: Jurriën Timber, William Saliba. Arteta was also asked about the possibility of letting players go, with the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Ethan Nwaneri linked with moves away from the club. 'It's a really tough moment. We need to face that reality,' Arteta said. 'But you have to face it with a real honesty and transparency.'
