Arsenal are still eyeing 21-year-old Turkish winger Kenan Yildiz, who remains at Juventus despite offers reportedly worth €100m (£85m). Spalletti told a press conference ahead of Juventus’ Serie A opener that he is relaxed about the situation and that Yildiz will always be played if he wants to stay. He described the winger as mature and a potential football phenomenon, noting that Juventus can showcase Yildiz’s full potential.
Yildiz signed a new four-year contract extension in February that runs until the summer of 2030. Since joining Juventus from Bayern Munich’s youth academy in 2022, he has scored 27 goals and provided 21 assists in 131 total appearances. He is also a key player for the Turkish national team, with five goals in 31 senior caps, and will feature at the World Cup in North America.
Arsenal remain on the lookout for further attacking additions before the transfer window closes at 11pm BST on September 1. The Gunners have also been linked with a high-profile swoop for Julian Alvarez heading into the final week of the market, while reports suggest that they retain an interest in Victor Osimhen, whose name came up during talks with Galatasaray over Gabriel Martinelli.
