Arsenal star Beth Mead will join Manchester City this summer in another high-profile WSL transfer. According to reports, City are also set to add Chelsea defender Niamh Charles to their squad. Mead has made more than 250 appearances for the club, winning the Champions League in 2025 as well as the 2019 WSL, and League Cup three times. She has only started 12 WSL matches last term, scooping up 2 goals and 2 assists. The 31-year-old England ace did not have her nine-year stay with the Gunners extended. Mead's nine-year stay at the Emirates will end when she joins Manchester City. The 2025-26 title winners have already managed to secure star striker Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw to a new contract as well. It comes shortly after Chelsea snapped up Arsenal's Katie McCabe in a controversial cross-capital switch.
